Donating food during the Holidays

I just read an article on yahoo news that the jails in Michigan are going to be laying off guards, which means inmates will be released. This caused inmates to be concerned because they would rather be in jail, where they have a place to stay and food! Think about that! I can't imagine being in that situation, but I do know what it feels like to wonder how you are going to be able to get your next meal. Not fun. If you want to donate your time or money this year, there are a lot of great groups I have had the pleasure of working with when I did video production for a local government. There are a ton of resources also on ways to get involved this Christmas when you are making wonderful recipes and watching it's a Wonderful Life. Take some time out to help someone else!
